Gucci Cruise 2025: A Return to Romance Under the Moonlight of Château de Versailles

For Cruise 2025, Gucci transformed the gardens of Château de Versailles into a moonlit dreamscape, unveiling a collection that harkened back to old-world romance with a distinctly modern twist. Creative director Sabato De Sarno leaned into languid silhouettes, vintage-inspired embellishments, and rich brocades that shimmered under the night sky.

Standouts included flowing gowns with corset detailing, tailored jacquard coats trimmed with velvet, and diaphanous blouses paired with embellished trousers. The color story — soft rose, muted gold, and deep burgundy — echoed the faded grandeur of Versailles itself.

On Instagram, the show set fashion feeds ablaze:

“Gucci goes baroque and I’m here for every opulent moment.” — @editorsoiree

Gucci also shared behind-the-scenes images of final fittings in the palace’s candlelit halls:

In a world craving fantasy and escape, Gucci’s return to unabashed romance felt not only timely, but necessary.
